Do you need someone to talk to?

There are times when you need someone to talk to about education, friends, or life in general. Other times, you might require more professional assistance. We have put together a list of potential conversation partners for students.

Here you can reach out if you need someone to talk to. All services are free and confidential.

School nurse and student counselor

The health nurse at Sit on campus can be found at Gløshaugen or Dragvold

As a student, you can drop by with questions about anything related to health; mental and/or physical issues, sexuality, and more.

At the Welfare Office (room 225, 2nd floor), you will find Sit's student advisor. He is present on campus one day a week.

Appointments are booked online. New appointments are released every other Friday.

Doctor

Students are advised to obtain a general practitioner in Trondheim.

If you do not have a general practitioner, you may contact Øya Medical Center.

SIT Mental Health Service

Sit's Mental Health Service provides short-term counseling for mild psychological concerns.

The team is composed of clinical social workers, psychiatric nurses, and specialist psychologists. They address issues such as anxiety symptoms, depression symptoms, intrusive thoughts, and similar concerns.

Mastery Course

Sit offers various coping courses that can make your study life easier. Examples of courses include time management, stress management, public speaking courses, presentation technique, student economy, men's discussion group, etc. 

The courses are free. Some of the courses are held at DMMH, but it is also possible to participate in courses located on other campuses.

Students inquire

Students Ask is a complimentary question service created by the student welfare organizations in Norway.

Through this service, students can access expert information, advice, and guidance on a range of topics including heartbreak, infatuation, body and sexual health, finances, and study skills. All inquiries are anonymous.

Student priest

The student chaplains are a service provided to students by the Church of Norway.

They are situated at Gløshaugen. You can schedule an appointment or simply drop by. Here, you can discuss anything you wish, no records are maintained, and they are bound by confidentiality. The student chaplains also provide grief and life management groups.

Student humanist

The student humanist serves as a conversational partner you can rely on when facing difficult times or when you want to collaboratively think things through. This can encompass everyday issues or subjects like loneliness, relationships, heartbreak, the challenges of living away from home, and managing student life.

Study advisor

If you have questions about student life, the completion of your studies, or need academic counseling, please feel free to contact one of our academic advisors.

The academic advisors are located in the area around the student expedition. They can also be reached via email or by phone at 73 80 52 80.

Student Assistant

The student assistants are themselves students at DMMH. They can provide guidance related to the academic work at the university college. 

Student assistants can be contacted by students in both bachelor's and master's programs.
