Birger Dahl

birger
Birger Dahl is an architect (MNAL), graduated in 1976 from the Department Architecture at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He is a partner in Enerhaugen Architects AS, which designs ECEC centers and schools. He is an examiner at the architectural education at NTNU in courses with focus on design of ECEC centers.

He and his office focus on the relationships between architecture and pedagogy, in how to include user groups in the planning processes, and in evaluating built solutions in practice. Birger has had his own article series "Todays ECEC center" in the Federation of Education’s magazine “First Step” (2010-2015) in collaboration with Associate Professor Randi Evenstad at Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet). He has participated with Randi in several development projects at both OsloMet and NTNU.

Birger is co-researcher in EnCompetence and will specifically contribute to the project in the interpretation of results and the development of criteria, as well as the planning and implementation of the interventions in the ECEC centers.
