The research group Special education and early intervention applies multidisciplinary approaches to research on special education issues and early intervention.
The participants represent diverse fields of expertise, such as special education, pedagogy, social pedagogy, and psychology.

Research projects focus
Research projects focus on special needs assistance and early intervention on an individual, group and/or system level to enhance children's development, play, learning and psychological well-being, with a focus on exploring children's everyday life in institutions of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC).
The research group Special education and early intervention applies a diversity of methodological approaches, within the repertoire of qualitative as well as quantitative methodologies. Likewise, a diversity of theoretical perspectives is represented in the group.
Our research projects aim at being anchored in practice and previous research.
