The key goal of the research is to understand children’s perspectives on staff in Early Childhood Education and Care settings (ECEC) through a gender lens. The research questions are:
· What are these perspectives in classrooms with teachers who identify as men and as women?
· What are these perspectives in classrooms with either a teacher who identifies as a man or a teacher who identifies as a woman?
· How do the children’s perspectives differ according to the gender of their teachers?
Prosjektet er internasjonalt og det skal skrives casestudier i ni ulike land omkring i verden og 20 forskere deltar. Prosjektledere er Dr. David Brody, Early Childhood Education
Efrata College of Education, Israel, sammen med Yuwei Xu, Assistant Professor University of Nottingham, Dr. Laetitia Coles, Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR)
The University of Queensland Australia, og dosent Kari Emilsen, DMMH. Birgitte Ljunggren (DMMH) er også med som medforsker fra Norge. Prosjektet er internfinansiert og går fra 2021 til 2024.
