Queen Maud University College of Early Childhood Education (QMUC)

It was established in 1947 as an independent foundation within the Norwegian State Church.

The main aim of the college is to educate teachers within the field of early childhood education and care (ECEC). We offer several Bachelor degrees in Early Childhood Education and Care and several postgraduate courses in topics related to ECEC.

In co-operation with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, we also offer Master degrees in ECEC.

We put a strong emphasis on research regarding children and ECEC and participate in national and international research projects and conferences.

Our students are encouraged to travel abroad as exchange students. We find that the best way to broaden the cultural understanding is by studying some time in a different country.

We also welcome foreign students to follow courses at QMUC, to gain knowledge and experience about Norwegian children`s culture, pre-schools and pre-school education.
